GROUND FLOOR: Tucked away amid a row of trees and across a small waterway, your private footbridge takes you right to the front door. With a garden space that wraps around the entire home, the ground floor has a welcoming entrance with family WC. A huge open plan living space provides an airy and light welcome, accentuated by the triple height vaulted atrium. Natural light pours into the property and the clever design - with segregated but free flowing spaces - allow each area of the ground floor to be filled with an abundance of light bouncing off each surface. The large well equipped - and well appointed - kitchen, has a large American style fridge/freezer and island with 2 bar stools. With seating for 10, the dining area is airy with wonderful views of Somerford Lagoon - the Estate's largest lake - through the floor to ceiling bifold doors that open onto a terrace area and small garden beyond. The living space has a large L-shaped sofa, armchair and contemporary Scandinavian wood burner, all allowing for comfortable and stylish living, alongside a wall mounted Smart TV and superfast broadband. A separate quiet snug area of two sofas and beanbags offers a sense of place and immediate relaxation in the centre of the house, with further views of the large Lagoon. Looking up you view the triple height atrium filling the home with natural light, along with some architectural features such as the amazing glass walkway leading to one of the bedrooms on the first floor.
FIRST FLOOR: On the first floor you have 4 of the lodges 5 bedrooms. Two twin rooms, one with ensuite shower room, and the other with a private balcony overlooking Somerford Lagoon (you decide!), but both with built in integrated wardrobes. Across the brilliant feature that is the glass walkway, lies a double room with floor to ceiling glazing at the foot of the bed allowing spectacular view of the lagoon from the Juliette Balcony. A further balcony door allows access to a large corner balcony that can be shared with the fourth bedroom on this level, the large king room with ensuite bathroom and separate shower. With integrated wardrobes, a workspace, and also a small Scandinavian wood burner, this bedroom again has wonderful views stretching across the uninterrupted Somerford Lagoon and nature reserve beyond. A small family shower room completes the first floor.
SECOND FLOOR: The second floor is home to the master suite. This entire floor is for the occupants of this beautifully appointed space. With a private ensuite bathroom also, the large super-king bed in the centre of the room provides extensive views across Somerford Lagoon and the nature reserve beyond. The additional elevation from this level is impressive, and the calm and tranquillity that stretches out in front of you is nothing but striking. With lots of light pouring into the room, the double height ceiling further enhances the space. Your own private terrace space can be reached through the large, glazed balcony doors and windows at the foot of the super-king bed, allowing occupants to wake up with nature. Integrated wardrobes and drawers, a working space / dressing table and wall mounted TV complete this room.
Homes within the secluded and gated community of the 'Somerford Nines' each have a further shared space beyond their private garden, which is reached by a large footbridge that takes you to the banks of Somerford Lagoon. The land directly in front of your property is yours to let the kids run loose and for family games. Through a gap in the hedgerow, you can walk down to the water’s edge, and it is from here that you are able to launch your watercraft of choice. Being the largest lake on the Estate, there is plenty of opportunity to explore on foot, but also by water. (Please take care of wildlife and surrounding habitat, and pay extra care and attention to any little ones in your group as it is an open body of water. Please always be respectful of others and be sure to wear buoyancy aids at all times).

SORRY NO HEN/STAG GROUPS. By making a reservation you are accepting the Lower Mill Estate's Code of Conduct as per the Terms & Conditions on behalf of yourself and your guests. STATED GROUP SIZE: Bookings are accepted on the group size & configuration stated at the time of booking. Any changes to this would require permission. Lower Mill Estate is a gated and warden controlled private estate and we provide the Estate with all guest group sizes and group dynamics prior to arrival, which are confirmed at the time of booking. DAY VISITORS: Day visitors to the Property may be permitted with our prior consent, at our discretion, provided that the total group (including visitors) does not exceed the maximum occupancy of the Property. SPA ACCESS: All but a 4 minute walk to the Luxury Spa complex, of which you get full rental access during your stay, allowing you and your family and friends to use the indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Outdoor pools are closed during the low season. SOMERFORD NINES: The Nines pool is closed during the off peak winter months after October Half Term (open Xmas/NY weeks). The Somerford Nines facility is shared with 8 x other properties, and is available to residents staying within Somerford Nines ONLY and not with the wider Estate. The heated indoor pool at the Luxury Spa is open all year round and is just a few minutes walk from the Somerford Nines complex. NATURE FIRST: Lower Mill Estate is a nature first environment and we are all guests of nature. As such, things like certain lakes being closed in off season for nesting, low level lighting at night, reeds being left to grow to full height, is part of managing the unique environment and eco system. PARKING: Each property on the Estate has one designated parking space within a few yards of their front door. Misty’s is within the gated community of the Somerford Nines where there are also a number of visitor parking spaces available with further spaces available on the Estate overflow car parks. TRAVEL COT OPTION: We are unable to supply bedding or a mattress thicker than the ‘wrap around base’ that the travel cot comes with. For your reference, the approx. size of a standard travel cot is 60-65cm x 95-100cm. BBQs: Due to insurance restrictions & potential health & safety compliance issues, we have removed BBQs from each property. Therefore, please remember to pack your own, or alternatively purchase a disposable BBQ for alfresco cooking. LAKE SAFETY: The garden/decking areas could be open to the water, so additional care must be taken at all times. SPECIFICATIONS: may change from the items listed here.
